What is your fondest childhood memory?

Skiing powder that was over my head at my home mountain in Alaska. I have a good memory of hitting my first cliff. It must have been 4 times my height at the time and I crashed so hard my helmet fell off. My ski coach Phil had to chase it down the mountain.

What was the most memorable moment of your life ... on snow?

Hitting Chad’s Gap in Utah and having my best friends there to help me achieve my biggest goal in skiing to date. They helped me build the entire jump and helped me get my speed dialed. They brought a speed gun that helped a lot.

What would surprise your fans most about you?

I like drinking V8, the straight vegetable kind! I also really like watching snowboard movies, but that is just because I love snow and love watching everyone get powder.

Who’s your favorite musical artist that you’ve just heard of in the last 6 months?

I went to an Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros concert and I had never heard them before. They are really good I had fun at their concert.

When you're having a bad day, what do you do to cheer up?

Go for a bike ride. It’s the best way to go fast for free and it eases my mind.

Who has influenced your skiing style the most?

When I was growing up I always watched the skiers who would do smooth tricks, not necessarily the craziest ones. I really liked Candide Thovex growing up cause he hit the huge gaps and made them look so easy.

What are you passionate about after the snow melts?

I like to enjoy the summer with friends, go for hikes and concerts. I am always thinking about skiing though, and when the snow is gone I am helping design outerwear with Saga.

What’s the best après-ski food?

After a long day of skiing, a nice pasta dish, like spaghetti, always fills me up. I could have that after every ski day. I like to eat honey stinger bars on the chairlift all day, so sometimes I am not even hungry after skiing.
