What is your fondest childhood memory?

Skiing round Treble Cone as a 5 year old with my buddies, pure freedom.

What was the most memorable moment of your life ... on snow?

I think recently it would have to be winning the World Heli Challenge at home in Wanaka. This event is so amazing, from the terrain and this year the snow, to the crew that organize it and the amazing people that turn up to hang out and throw down, its simply the best. I had wanted to win this event pretty much since I found out about freeskiing back when the event was first on in the mid 90s, so it was really amazing to take it out this year.

What would surprise your fans most about you?

I honestly dont know. Its pretty strange to think of having fans, for a start. Maybe I will have some after this movie comes out. I dont know, maybe ask me in a year.

When you're having a bad day, what do you do to cheer up?

Ski. And if I cant do that...put on some good tunes and read an engrossing book.

Who has influenced your skiing style the most?

I think a number of people have, from buddies I grew up skiing with to heroes in the movies, some of those being Seth Morrison and Mark Abma.

What are you passionate about after the snow melts?

Spending as much time with my family and friends doing a few summer activities while getting ready for the next season. I ski back-to-back winters, so I only get a few months off snow a year.

What’s the best après-ski food?

The burgers at Le Pub Mont Fort in Verbier are pretty hard to beat, with a large jug of Pimms on the deck in the sun. Smashing.
